Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and patient-focused Medical Assistant I to support our providers and help ensure smooth clinic operations. This role includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on delivering timely, accurate, and compassionate care to our patients in a primary care setting.
Job Responsibilities:
Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures
Perform basic clinical tasks such as injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen collection
Clean and prepare exam rooms between patients
Manage and update patient records in the EMR system
Handle patient communication, including phone calls, messages, and follow-ups
Assist with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed
Maintain inventory of medical supplies and assist with ordering
Support clinic flow to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience
Perform other responsibilities as directed
Job Qualifications:
12 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred Current Medical Assistant certification preferred CPR/BLS certification preferred Fluent in English Spanish-speaking preferred High School Diploma or equivalent required Strong clinical and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong patient care focus
