Custodian - Maintenance Department Part-time - Days
The Custodian is responsible for keeping both plants in clean and orderly condition to ensure the buildings and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Gather and empty trash bins
Gather and empty paper recycling boxes
Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them
Service, clean, disinfect and supply restrooms
Dust furniture, walls, machines and shelving throughout plant(s)
Clean all windows, walls and mirrors throughout plant(s)
Trip and seal all tile floors on a bi-yearly basis
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Notify managers concerning the need for repairs to cleaning equipment or building operating systems
Requisition supplies and as needed through supervisor
Must be willing to travel to both plants as needed. Occasional weekend and overtime work required
Organize custodial closets and spaces
Assist with 5S throughout the plants

Qualifications/Education/Skills:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Previous custodial experience preferred.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Integrity - can trust this person to be truthful, honest and ethical.
Equipment Used Including, but not limited to mops, manual floor scrubbers, vacuums, sprayers, ladders.
Working Conditions:
Some work is performed in close proximity to large machines, and some is in the office area. Subject to noise; exposure to dust, fumes, and oils; handling of chemical cleaners.
Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity required as well as pushing and pulling functions. Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs, must be able to ascend/descend stairs or ladders, stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time. Manual dexterity is required as well as pushing and pulling functions. Must be able to position oneself and move under/around/over equipment.
