River Hills Health and Rehab is seeking a dependable and compassionate Transport CNA to assist with safely transporting residents to and from appointments while providing excellent care and support.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the move, interacting with residents, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the transport process.
Responsibilities:
Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, therapy, and outings
Assist residents with transfers, including wheelchair and stretcher transport as needed
Ensure proper documentation for appointments and transportation logs
Communicate effectively with nursing staff regarding resident status and needs
Remain with residents during appointments when required
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed upon return to the facility
Maintain cleanliness and safety of transport equipment and vehicle
Follow all safety, infection control, and facility protocols
Qualifications:
Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Texas required
Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
Previous experience in long-term care or healthcare preferred
Ability to safely transfer and assist residents with mobility needs
Strong communication and organizational skills
Dependable, punctual, and resident-focused
Must be able to pass background screening and meet health requirements
