CNC Machinist
This role is a hands-on CNC machining position in a small, tight-knit machine shop that produces a variety of precision components. You will operate CNC mills and/or lathes in a production environment, performing offsets, tooling changes, and running ongoing work with light supervision. This position does not require CNC programming experience, but it does require solid practical machining skills and the ability to keep production running efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC mills and lathes in a production environment to manufacture various precision components.
Perform machine offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy.
Run ongoing production work, monitoring machines and parts to ensure consistent output.
Change and maintain tooling to support efficient and continuous machining operations.
Inspect parts during production to verify they meet specifications and quality standards.
Troubleshoot basic machining issues and make appropriate adjustments to minimize downtime.
Work productively with light supervision, managing your own workflow and priorities.
Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and goals.
Essential Skills
Previous CNC machining experience in a production environment.
Hands-on experience operating CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.
Ability to perform machine offsets and make adjustments to maintain part quality.
Experience with tool changes.
Capability to run ongoing production work with light supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
Ability to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a small machine shop environment.
Comfort working with both mill and lathe operations.
Familiarity with Mazak CNC equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills for basic machining issues.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
Willingness to learn and adapt as needed.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
