No matter where you're located—on campus or online—you are part of a mission that **transforms lives** and **makes a difference** across the state of Texas and beyond.The College of Nursing at Tarleton State University seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for Open Rank Faculty appointments in the department of Undergraduate Nursing.This pool is for Spring/Fall 2026, Qualified applicants are invited to apply.Assistant, Associate, Professor – Clinical Track Nursing, UndergraduatePrimarily responsible for the teaching/learning process and will also participate in the necessary operations of the institution.; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work and teaching requirements indicate with possible weekend hours. May be required to teach at other campuses or online at the institution's discretion. Requires the ability to travel. This position will be supporting and serving all Tarleton locations.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities****100%** Teaching and Service: Develop, implement, and review effective teaching/learning processes, incorporating appropriate methodology, technology, and other tools; Remain current in discipline and update course content when appropriate to reflect current levels of student knowledge in the discipline; Develop a system for ongoing evaluation of both teaching and learning, including expectations of student competency and student learning outcomes; Work in partnership with immediate supervisor through a formal system of evaluation of instruction to identify strengths and weaknesses and identify professional development activities to improve student learning. May be required to teach at other campuses or online. Will be required to teach Clinicals. Maintain appropriate schedule of office hours for student access and inquiry; Work in partnership with student success personnel on student advising and orientation. Participate in institutional service roles such as but not limited to, college committees, club sponsorship, advisory committees, student/faculty recruitment, and mentoring of new and part-time faculty.**Minimum Requirements****Assistant Professor:*** Earned doctorate/terminal degree (PhD and DNP) from an accredited institution.* Three to Five years of successful college teaching experience* BLS certification* License to Practice Nursing in the State of Texas**Associate Professor:*** Earned doctorate/terminal degree (PhD and DNP) from an accredited institution.* Five to Eight years of successful college teaching experience.* BLS certification**Professor:*** Earned doctorate/terminal degree (PhD and DNP) from an accredited institution.* Eight plus years of successful college teaching experience.* BLS certification* License to Practice Nursing in the State of Texas**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**Demonstrated ability in the discipline and show clear promise of teaching excellence as evidenced in evaluation by peers, department head, and college dean. Demonstrated ability for continuing scholarly contribution beyond that required for completion of the terminal degree.
