Lot Attendant
We have an exciting, fast-paced position available at our Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) in Kapolei to inspect and prepare purchased vehicles for transport and delivery to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Inspect and photograph vehicles for damage at the pier
Stage vehicles to ensure efficient loading onto car carrier trucks
Shuttle vehicles on the lot and to/from remote storage locations and service bays for technicians
Prepare vehicles for delivery to dealerships by removing metal ties and plastic coating on vehicles from hood, roof, trunk, and rims
Maintain vehicle key files and accurately document location of vehicles on the lot
Ensure that vehicles are properly fueled
Charge dead batteries and change flat tires as needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent
Previous auto work experience preferred
Valid driver's license and good driving record
Must obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card within one month of start date in order to work at VPC (manager will assist with this process)
Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission for a variety of vehicle sizes
Strong communication skills and ability to write legibly
Team player with a dedication to customer service excellence
Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Ability to work overtime hours in a fast-paced environment including evenings and Saturdays, as needed
Advancement opportunities:
An entry-level Lot Attendant is paid a competitive hourly wage, with opportunities to advance into positions such as Detail Helper, Parts Delivery Driver, Parts Warehouse Person, Lube Tire Helper or Auto Technician roles. Note: In order to qualify for an Auto Technician position, an Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology is required, so we recommend looking into this degree early on if this is the career path that you are interested in pursuing.
Pay Range: $17.85 - $19.84 per hour
