Patient Support Assistant, Oncology
Hourly Pay Range: $18.38 - $26.65 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights
Location: Glenbrook Hospital - Glenview, IL
Full Time | 40 hours/week
Hours: Shifts will rotate Monday-Thursday, between 6:45am-3:15pm, 7am-3:30pm, 8:30am-5pm, 9am-5:30pm, 9:30am-6pm, and Fridays between 6:45am-3:15pm, 7am-3:30pm, 8am-4:30pm and 8:30am-5pm (MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH SCHEDULE)
Required Travel: Coverage in our Highland Park and Evanston locations as needed.
Summary
As a Patient Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients.
You will work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare staff to provide essential non-clinical support, maintain a clean and organized patient environment, and assistant with various patient care tasks.
What You Will Do
Answer phones
Schedule appointments
Collect co-payments
Complete patient registration
Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
Check in and check out patients
Verify insurances
What You Will Need
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, required.
Experience: One year of related experience is required; previous administrative experience working in a medical office is preferred; Insurance knowledge preferred
Skills: Minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute required
