Job Summary
The Dispatcher is responsible for tracking inbound and outbound freight.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Monitors and records all inbound and outbound freight weights and properly updates status tickets.
Successfully completes all paperwork for drivers, including but not limited to; sales, raw material and all blending stock.
Enters Bill of Ladings and raw material tickets into computer system.
Maintain housekeeping for safe and neat work area
Award of, have received training and is responsible for maintaining Darling's Food Safety program.
Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma.
1 year prior experience in an office, and/or transportation environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
Good computer skills. (Oracle experience a +)
Detail Oriented; highly organized.
Good communication skills; able to follow oral and written directions.
Be able to multi-task. Self-starter.
Be able to work well with others.
Ability to work nights and overtime as needed.
