Machine Assembler

We're looking for a skilled Machine Assembler to join our team and help build high-quality, custom machinery from the ground up. If you enjoy hands-on work, solving mechanical challenges, and seeing a project come together from start to finish, this is a great opportunity in a stable, growing shop.
What You'll Do

Assembly & Build
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and assembly documents
Assemble, install, and align mechanical and electrical components
Perform mechanical and basic electrical wiring and connections
Fabricate parts as needed using shop equipment (mills, lathes, saws)
Work with welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems
Problem-Solving & Quality
Troubleshoot assembly or performance issues during machine builds
Identify root causes and implement practical solutions
Collaborate with engineering to clarify specifications and improve processes
Ensure machines operate safely, accurately, and meet quality standards
Tools, Equipment & Safety
Use hand tools, power tools, cranes, and specialty assembly equipment
Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely
Follow all safety procedures and wear provided PPE
What We're Looking For

Required Skills
Proven experience building custom machines
Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills
Experience with mechanical assembly and basic electrical wiring
Comfortable working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
Preferred Qualifications
2-year technical degree (nice to have)
Experience with welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Familiarity with mills, lathes, and saws
Forklift experience
High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

Hands-on shop work using cranes, assembly tools, and machine shop equipment
Schedule: MondayFriday, 6:00 AM

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St Paul, MN.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
