Description
The Warehouse Associate's primary function is to help maintain a clean and safe work area by assisting in all aspects of warehouse operations which include warehouse efficiency, product quality and inventory accuracy.
Accountabilities:
Manage waste removal of plastic and trash receptacles on the shop floor.
Responsible for keeping the cleaning equipment organized and maintained and ready for use.
Keep picking areas clear and organized by removing and staging pallets.
Re-work all saleable products returned from out in the market by putting them in appropriate containers and returning them to correct locations in the warehouse.
If non-saleable product is found in the warehouse due to leakers or damage, it is sorted and reworked or disposed of appropriately.
All re-worked products will be keyed into system accurately for proper inventory adjustments.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
Passionate self-starter who can work independently as well as be a team player that works well with others, motivated to learn and communicates well.
Ability to do basic math calculations without the use of a calculator for handling inventory.
Ability to drive forklift
Ability to follow processes and work with a sense of urgency without close supervision.
Able to work from 8:00am-4:30pm or until finished, Monday through Friday. (Some mandatory Saturday overtime)
At least 1-2 years of warehouse and material handling experience preferred with pallets jacks and other PIT equipment experience.
