A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) works under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to support patients in achieving independence in daily activities. Responsibilities include assisting with therapeutic exercises, providing hands-on treatment, and educating patients on adaptive strategies. COTAs document patient progress and work in settings such as hospitals, rehab centers, and nursing facilities.
