Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with proven experience in operating Heavy Front End Loaders and/or Heavy Forklifts. This role is perfect for those who take pride in precision, safety, and efficiency. Experience with additional equipment such as excavators, loaders, or dozers is a bonus.
Responsibilities
Operate Heavy Equipment, Front End Loaders, and/or Heavy Forklifts for site preparation, grading, material handling, and foundational prepping.
Perform daily maintenance checks and report mechanical issues.
Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Assist with general labor tasks as needed.
Essential Skills
Minimum 2 years of experience operating either Heavy Front-End Loaders or Heavy Forklifts.
Familiarity with construction site safety practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical ability to work outdoors in various conditions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus).
Experience with other heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, dozers).
OSHA certification.
Basic mechanical skills.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
