The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Accounting Manager to lead and own all aspects of our account reconciliation process ensuring adherence to internal controls. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of accounting and internal controls experience with strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills plus advanced Excel knowledge. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter, detail oriented and possess the ability to prioritize work in order to meet deadlines.
Oversee the monthly account reconciliation process, including preparation and review, research, analysis and resolution, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
Prepare and review account analysis of activity/balances to identify discrepancies or necessary adjustments on a timely basis.
Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and other process documentation.
Maintain the account reconciliation policy.
Provide team training on account reconciliation process and policy.
Identify and implement system and process improvements.
Support the Accounting team on monthly close processes, strategic projects and perform ad hoc projects and analysis.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with all Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required, CPA is a plus
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years audit experience and experience is a plus
Experience writing Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring compliance
Experience documenting processes and maintaining internal controls
Strong understanding of US GAAP
Experience managing or guiding a team
Ability to prioritize, multi-task and ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced, changing environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent oral and written communication skills to interface with all levels of the organization and third-parties
Proficient in ERP systems and advance Excel skills, experience with D365 and/or Blackline a plus
