The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Triad is seeking Youth Development Professional - Front Desk Associates to work during afterschool programming at our Club sites, located in High Point and Asheboro, NC.The Boys and Girls Club of the Greater Triad is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Development Professional - Front Desk Associates to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service to our members, parents/guardians, families and external guests. The individual will play a vital part in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all youth participants. This role operates with a high degree of consistency and professionalism. This role is well-suited for retirees seeking a fulfilling way to engage with youth and the community, as well as college students looking for valuable work experience in a supportive environment. Schedule: Monday - Friday: 1:30 - 7:00pmSummer: (June August): 4-hour shift between the hours of 8:00am - 5:30pmPay: $14.00 per hourJob Type: Part-timeWork Location: In personJob Summary: This role is essential in providing excellent customer service to our members, parents/guardians, families and external guests. The individual will play a vital part in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all youth participants, and operate with excellence, consistency, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service: Greet members, families, and visitors warmly and assist them in a friendly and professional manner. Address inquiries and provide information regarding programs and services offered.Sign-In/Sign-Out Procedures: Manage the check-in and check-out process for youth members. Ensure that only authorized individuals are permitted to sign youth out and maintain accurate records.Administrative Support: Assist with daily administrative tasks, including maintaining attendance records and communicating important information to families regarding schedules and events.Safety and Security: Monitor the lobby area to ensure the safety and well-being of all members. Handle any concerns from parents or guardians related to their childrens safety and welfare.Engagement Activities: Foster positive relationships with youth members. May occasionally be asked to participate in and assist with various club activities and programs, promoting youth development and engagement.Minimum Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in child development, education, or related field is preferred.Previous experience in customer service, youth programming, or a related field is highly desirable.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and staff.Knowledge of safety and security protocols in a youth setting.Working Conditions:Part-time hours during the school year; full-time during summer months.Regular interaction with youth and families, requiring a positive attitude and a commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive environment.
