We are looking for a
FHIR Interoperability Specialist
to support and advance public health interoperability initiatives. This role will collaborate with TDH program areas, the Core Informatics team, interoperability SMEs, and the state IT division (STS) to drive HL7 FHIR–based data exchange projects and strengthen TDH’s interoperability infrastructure.
Job Title: FHIR Interoperability Specialist
Contract: 4.5 Months
Hourly Rate: $62.00 (W2)
Experience with systems like Salesforce for forum management.
Key Responsibilities
Support and coordinate
HL7 FHIR interoperability projects
across TDH
Contribute to
strategic FHIR initiatives , roadmap development, and agency readiness
Assist with
HL7 Helios FHIR Accelerator
focus areas (e.g., query/response, aggregate data)
Support TDH’s
EDI Interoperability Infrastructure & Architecture
enhancements
Work on interoperability standards such as
HL7, FHIR, EHR integrations, system interoperability
Collaborate on public health reporting, system integration, and modernization projects
Assist with
emergency response activities
when needed
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of HL7/FHIR interoperability, public health data exchange, or related informatics areas (experience levels vary)
