Full Time/Day shift

The Acute Care Pharmacy Tech I performs duties relating to the filling and dispensing of unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to the nursing units and other ancillary departments in a prompt accurate manner. Fill/dispense oral and IV medications, triaging patient orders and maintaining the integrity of the automated dispensing system.

Responsibilities

Fill and dispense unit dose and stock medications from the pharmacy to nursing units and other departments.

Process and triage patient orders for oral and IV medications.

Maintain the integrity of the automated dispensing system.

Qualifications

Required:

H.S. Diploma or GED

Required:

Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician upon hire, or Oregon Pharmacy Technician License upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program

Inpatient experience

Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
