
Exercise Physiologist

Overview
Under the general direction of the Manager or Supervisor of Rehabilitation Services, the Exercise Physiologist clinician provides direct patient care for outpatients by utilizing appropriate knowledge and skills in collaboration with other members of the health care team. This role provides skilled, creative discipline-specific therapeutic services to patients. The work includes standardized fitness assessments and exercise prescription of all assigned patients, and the development of a treatment plan. This role may supervise volunteers or other support personnel, as approved by department leadership.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree - Graduation from an accredited Exercise Science/Sport Science program.
Coursework/Training: Completion of internship.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
1 year of experience in an exercise related position (i.e. Exercise Instructor, Physical Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Aide, Athletic Trainer or Instructor, Personal Trainer) which may include school internship.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree
ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) upon hire.
1 year of Cardiopulmonary rehab experience, and/or stress testing.
