
Speech Language Pathologist

Founded in 2001, Kalasho Education & Youth Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting youth with comprehensive educational programs, advocacy, health and wellness, legal aid, and business literacy training.
The Speech Language Pathologist will work with children and adolescents to help assist in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. This position will also work with the MINDgarden team of therapists and social workers in order to create specialized treatment plans for the individual.
Specific responsibilities for the speech therapist position include:
Assess speech, language, and swallowing skills
Create individualized treatment plans
Help children learn to make sounds correctly and use them in words, phrases, and sentences
Help improve the quality and volume of speech
Aid in developing language skills, improving vocabulary and sentence structure
Document progress and collaborate with team members
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in speech pathology or a related field
State licensure in speech-language pathology
Competitive, starting at $75,000 and may be increased based on experience.
Salary compensated based on experience
