IVR Software Engineer/feature lead

Our client, a leading organization in the contact center solutions industry, is seeking a dedicated Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Software Engineer, you will be part of the Technology Department supporting innovative IVR development initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, collaborative spirit, and a passion for creating scalable, reliable software solutions, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Software Engineer (Java, Spring, IVR,
Genesys or/Nuance Framework exp.)
Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid -3 days onsite per week)
Position type: 12+ months with high possibility of extension/Conversion
Pay rate between $60 - $67/hr on W2
What's the Job?
Design, develop, test, and support IVR applications within a modern Cloud environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions aligned with strategic business goals.
Ensure high-quality code delivery through rigorous development, testing, and quality control practices.
Lead and mentor developers within an agile team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and teamwork.
Troubleshoot, support, and continuously improve existing IVR applications to optimize performance.
What's Needed?
Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on Java/Spring development experience with complex applications.
Previous experience with Speech-enabled IVR development using Genesys or Nuance Framework.
Proficiency in Java/JavaScript, Spring, Groovy, and VXML.
Experience supporting IVR systems and offshore support.
Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
