Responsibilities
Monitor and replace batteries in RTLS devices and staff safety badges.
Check the status and performance of RTLS hardware across assigned areas.
Assign staff safety badges to employees and maintain accurate records.
Review staff safety badge usage and follow up on inactive or unused badges.
Collect and redeploy unused staff safety badges.
Tag and track equipment and assets using the RTLS system.
Perform routine system checks to ensure devices are functioning properly.
Support staff with badge questions, replacements, and troubleshooting.
Maintain clear documentation of badge assignments, battery changes, and tagged assets.
Requirements
Familiarity with RTLS systems, asset tracking, or badge-based safety systems (preferred).
Experience working with hardware devices such as tags, badges, and sensors.
Comfortable using tracking systems, dashboards, and basic reporting tools.
Ability to follow structured processes and documentation standards.
Strong attention to detail when reviewing device status and badge usage.
Ability to identify issues such as low batteries, inactive devices, or missing assets.
Problem-solving skills for basic hardware and tracking issues.
Ability to ensure accuracy in device and badge assignments.
Clear and professional communication with staff regarding badge usage and replacements.
Ability to explain basic technical instructions to non-technical users.
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
Good interpersonal skills when working across departments.
Ability to manage multiple tasks such as battery changes, badge assignments, and asset tagging.
Strong time management and ability to prioritize urgent device issues.
Maintain organized logs for badges, batteries, and assets.
Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, dependable, and detail oriented.
Comfortable working with both technology and hands-on device support.
Reliable and consistent in completing routine system checks.
Professional, flexible, and team oriented.
High school diploma or associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred.
1-3 years of experience in healthcare support, technical support, asset tracking, or related role preferred.
Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment is a plus.
