area is seeking an accomplished
PACU Nurse Manager (RN)
to lead post-anesthesia recovery services.
This position provides operational and clinical oversight of a busy, fast-paced recovery unit, ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and satisfaction.
The Nurse Manager will work closely with perioperative leadership, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to enhance recovery outcomes and operational efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven nursing leader who thrives in a collaborative, quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily PACU operations, including staffing, scheduling, and patient recovery processes.
Ensure compliance with evidence-based perioperative standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitor clinical performance metrics and lead performance improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative teams to optimize patient flow and recovery outcomes.
Manage departmental budgets, supply utilization, and capital equipment planning.
Support nursing education, competency development, and mentorship.
Lead staff engagement, fostering teamwork and accountability.
Maintain readiness for accreditation and safety audits.
Qualifications
Required:
Active RN license (Florida or Compact State)
Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred)
At least 3 years of recent PACU or perioperative nursing leadership experience
BLS within 30 days and ACLS within 90 days of hire
Preferred:
BSN or MSN with CNML or CPAN/CAPA certification
Experience managing high-volume post-anesthesia recovery units
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership abilities
Annual Salary:
$95,000 to $112,000 (commensurate with experience)
