Sr Data Scientist- Wealth Management & Private Banking

The Senior Data Scientist will serve as a strategic analytics partner to Citizens Wealth Management and Private Banking, combining advanced predictive modeling with campaign analytics and cross-functional collaboration to drive client acquisition, retention, and AUM growth. Working closely with business leaders, digital media partners, and technology stakeholders, you will translate complex data into marketing strategies and actionable insights that directly influence business outcomes.

Primary responsibilities include

Serve as a strategic analytics partner to Wealth Management business leaders, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage data and modeling to drive client acquisition, retention, and AUM growth.

Develop, validate, and deploy predictive models using a range of statistical and machine learning techniques, with a focus on accuracy, interpretability, and business applicability.

Partner with internal business stakeholders to translate ambiguous business questions into well-defined analytical problems, selecting appropriate modeling approaches (ensemble methods, decision trees, neural networks, multivariate techniques) to drive outcomes.

Develop structured analytic plans that account for available data, business partner requirements, and delivery timelines.

Collaborate with digital media and marketing partners to analyze campaign performance, support ongoing reporting, and provide insights that inform testing strategies.

Execute end-to-end data preparation including attribute identification, exploratory analysis, transformation, and feature engineering.

Manage multiple concurrent deliverables in a deadline-driven environment, maintaining quality and communication across stakeholders.

Lead cross-channel marketing analytics and measurement across mail, email, paid social, programmatic, TV, radio, and OOH - owning KPI standardization, reporting cadence, and data quality across platforms and partners.

Communicate analytical findings clearly through reports, presentations, and visualizations tailored to non-technical business audiences.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or other directly related field

4 - 6 years of experience in data modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning to solve business problems

Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, modeling, and automation

Demonstrated ability to work with large quantities of data, excellent SQL skills

Demonstrated experience developing and deploying predictive models using machine learning and statistical methods, with demonstrated application to real business problems, preferably in financial services

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to convey actionable and understandable business intelligence

Proven ability to work cross-functionally with business and technology stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in financial services is preferred, but not required

Exposure to marketing analytics concepts such as ROMI, CPC/CPM, or funnel-based performance measurement

Demonstrated ability to shepherd analytical models from scoping through deployment, working cross-functionally with business partners, technology, and risk/compliance stakeholders

Familiarity with cloud-based data environments, including AWS services such as S3 and Redshift

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
