The hospital provides comprehensive emergency and specialty care including adult and pediatric emergency services, advanced cardiac assessment, certified women's services, stroke care, robotic surgery, orthopedic care, and joint replacement. It is the only
Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation
in the region and has the
only Level III NICU and Pediatric ICU
in the area.
The FSED RN role provides professional nursing care in the
Freestanding Emergency Department , collaborating with all members of the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Collect and analyze comprehensive patient data
Develop individualized care plans and expected outcomes
Implement and evaluate nursing interventions
Enhance quality and effectiveness of nursing practice
Exercise independent judgment while working within an interdisciplinary team
Integrate research findings into practice
Lead and mentor peers, contributing to professional development
Follow patient safety guidelines and report significant medical errors
Perform unit-specific duties including floating to various units based on business needs
Qualifications
Required:
3+ years recent Acute Care ER RN experience (within the last year)
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma (BSN preferred)
Current Florida RN license or compact licensure (FL RN compact license required within 90 days if held in another state)
BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
Preferred Skills:
Adaptability, strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
Performance Expectations
