Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Outpatient Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Columbus, OH. The role will involve providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals experiencing mental health and addiction challenges. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of care. This is an on-site position, offering an opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of patients and their families.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Prescribe medications as appropriate and monitor efficacy and side effects
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care
Provide patient education and support family involvement as needed
Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines and ethical practices
Qualifications
Strong clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, and care planning
Knowledge and experience in prescribing medications and addressing mental health and addiction disorders
Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients and their families
Compassionate bedside manner, cultural competence, and commitment to patient welfare
Advanced practice nursing certification as a Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP preferred)
and active Nurse Practitioner license in Ohio
Two or more years of experience in mental health or behavioral health settings is preferred
CPR certification and familiarity with evidence-based behavioral health practices
