Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing and print production, with expertise in various printing techniques. You will need to create and prepare files for printing in the most efficient and less wasteful way possible.
MUST HAVE 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Responsibilities
Manage prepress workflow, including file preparation and proofing
Operate and maintain wide format printers, Cannon Flatbed printers, Roland roll printer, and Colex cutting table
Perform Quality control checks on printed materials to ensure accuracy
Responsible for producing and packing all large format magnet orders by the deadline required
Undertake planned maintenance, breakdown, repair and condition monitoring activites of machines in Wide Format department
Report to the operations manager on the state of the workload
Work with outside contractors for any repairs that need to be make
Collaborte with the design time to ensure all print files sent are print ready
Create print files to gang print as many jobs together as possible to prevent wast and optimizes print layouts
Responsible for ensuring that a clean, tidy, and hazard-free working environment is maintained to defined company standards.
Perform general administration tasks as necessary.
Operate other digital print machines to increase production when needed
Coordinate with the production team to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
Proficiency in prepress operations ( Adobe Illustrator), typography, and graphic design.
Experience with wide-format printing equipment and software.
Knowledge of quality control procedures in a printing environment.
Familiarity with layout design.
Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Previous experience in fabricating and CNC machining is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Shift: 1st shift 7am to 3pm Monday through Friday
