Responsibilities
Concept and develop original, platform-specific visual ideas for social campaigns, content series, brand activations, and always-on programs across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, and emerging platforms.
Lead art direction for social-first content including short-form video, static posts, carousels, and influencer/creator content, ensuring strong visual storytelling, composition, pacing, and platform-native execution.
Translate briefs and cultural insights into clear visual systems, storyboards, mood boards, layouts, and references that guide execution across formats.
Independently create and produce social-first content as needed - including lo-fi video, static assets, quick-turn visuals, and rough edits - to support always-on needs, testing, and fast-moving cultural moments.
Collaborate closely with copywriters, designers, editors, strategists, client services, influencer teams, and producers to bring work from brief through final delivery.
Partner with editors and production teams to ensure creative intent and visual integrity carry through to the final cut.
Provide direction, mentorship, and constructive feedback to junior creatives, designers, and freelancers to elevate overall creative quality.
Present visual concepts, ideas, and creative rationale clearly and confidently to internal stakeholders and clients.
Ensure all creative output meets OK COOL’s standards for craft, cultural relevance, platform fluency, and brand alignment.
Stay ahead of visual, cultural, and platform trends, contributing to the evolution of OK COOL’s creative POV and industry leadership.
What we look for
4+ years of experience in a senior art direction, design, or visual creative role within a social agency or brand environment
A strong portfolio showcasing social-first, visually led work, from lo-fi, fast-turn content to larger campaign systems and storytelling
Demonstrated ability to concept and execute across formats, with a focus on social-first video and static content
Strong visual instincts: layout, composition, typography, motion, pacing, and platform-native execution
Positive, solutions-oriented approach to both creative and administrative tasks
Basic to intermediate proficiency in CapCut (or similar editing tools) and the Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Acrobat)
Comfort working in Google Slides and Docs
Strong pitching and presentation skills, able to clearly articulate visual ideas and creative rationale
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative, communicative, team-oriented mindset with an entrepreneurial spirit
