Key Responsibilities

• Network Architecture & Design
  
  
  
  • Design and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  
  
  • Evaluate and implement new networking technologies and enhancements.
  
  
  
  


• Firewall & Security Management
  
  
  
  • Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
  
  
  • Implement and maintain VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances.
  
  
  • Develop and enforce network security policies and best practices.
  
  
  • Conduct regular firewall audits and vulnerability assessments.
  
  
  
  


• Monitoring & Troubleshooting
  
  
  
  • Proactively monitor network performance and address potential issues.
  
  
  • Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across multi-platform environments.
  
  
  
  


• Collaboration & Documentation
  
  
  
  • Work closely with software development and DevOps teams to support infrastructure needs.
  
  
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and change management records.
  
  
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.


• 5+ years of experience in a senior network engineering role.


• Hands-on experience with:
  
  
  
  • Enterprise-grade firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto)
  
  
  • Network routing/switching (Cisco, Juniper, HP)
  
  
  • VPN, IDS/IPS, VLANs, and Load Balancers
  
  
  • Cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus)
  
  
  
  


• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and network segmentation.


• Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG).


• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, NSE4/7, PCNSE) preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.


• Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash) for automation of network tasks.


• Familiarity with SD-WAN and Zero Trust Network models.
