Overview
Description The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join AWS. You will work at the forefront of Machine Learning and AI, applying Generative AI algorithms to solve real-world problems with significant impact. In this role, you\'ll work directly with customers to design, evangelize, implement, and scale AI/ML solutions that meet technical requirements and business objectives. You\'ll be a key player in driving customer success through their AI transformation journey, providing deep expertise in machine learning, generative AI, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives and provide guidance through a range of offerings and focused practices across technologies and industries.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and scale complex, secure AI/ML solutions on AWS tailored to customer needs; select and fine-tune models for specific use cases
- Develop and deploy ML models and generative AI applications that solve real-world business problems; run experiments and optimize performance at scale
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders to identify high-value AI/ML use cases, gather requirements, and propose implementation strategies
- Provide technical guidance on applying AI/ML responsibly and cost-efficiently; troubleshoot throughout project delivery and ensure best practices
- Act as a trusted advisor on AI/ML advancements, emerging technologies, and leveraging diverse data sources for business impact
- Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, reusable artifacts, and prototyping new technologies
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- 3+ years of machine learning/statistical modeling and data analysis experience
- Experience in professional software engineering and full software development lifecycle practices
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI
Preferred Qualifications
- Master\'s degree or higher in STEM
- Experience defining and creating benchmarks for GenAI model performance
- Experience working on multi-team, cross-disciplinary projects
- Experience applying quantitative analysis to solve business problems and making data-driven decisions
