Cape Fox Tours is seeking a talented Native Artist. The Native Artist will work on various projects throughout the summer based on ability and talent. The Native Artist will be well‑versed in the Native Arts and willing to tell stories relevant to the art being created and share cultural significance, knowledge and talent with others. The artist will adapt to various tour schedules throughout the season and engage with guests and answer questions.
This position is seasonal (April 15 - October 15). The hourly rate for this position has been established at $18 .

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to
Provide personable and friendly interaction with tour guests while telling stories and sharing cultural information.
Work with traditional materials and techniques and demonstrate the creative process to an audience.
Share knowledge about the art, including its history, significance and connection to native Alaskan heritage and the local environment.
Share personal and cultural stories and traditions that are relevant to the art being created to provide a deeper and more personal understanding for the visitors.
