CNA / Certified Nursing Assistant, Full-Time, 6am-2pm
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs various direct resident care activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), supports activities and programs, and provides essential care as needed, following standard nursing practices and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Obtain vital signs, record findings, and notify the supervising nurse of any deviations in accordance with the Individual Service Plan (ISP).
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, skin care, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, and positioning.
- Provide medication assistance, as applicable, with proper training and delegation.
- Support residents with ambulation, transfers, and positioning, including wheelchair use and bed mobility.
- Assist with making beds, changing linens, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Complete progress notes and documentation accurately and in a timely manner, following the resident's service plan.
- Report changes in residents' conditions to the supervisor, follow infection control procedures, and adhere to standard safety precautions.
- Demonstrate a respectful, compassionate attitude toward residents and their personal property.
- Follow dress code standards, provide proper notice for absences or tardiness, and comply with all community policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the CNA scope of practice.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Completion of a skills competency evaluation required.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English.
- Must complete a minimum of 12 hours of in-service education annually.
- Must pass a criminal background check, not be listed on the Employee Misconduct Registry, and have reliable transportation.
