Overview
An established organization in the semiconductor industry is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support installation, maintenance, and performance optimization of advanced electro-mechanical equipment at customer sites. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and customer satisfaction across a global installed base.
Key Responsibilities
Perform on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and relocation of complex electro-mechanical and electronic systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues to the component level, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Conduct system start-ups, upgrades, and field modifications as required.
Maintain detailed service records, reports, and documentation for internal and customer use.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
Provide technical support, guidance, and mentoring to junior engineers.
Communicate effectively with customers to understand needs, provide solutions, and build strong relationships.
Stay current with evolving semiconductor equipment technologies through training and certifications.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting of semiconductor or similar capital equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and technical manuals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work in cleanroom environments and use appropriate safety equipment.
Ability to travel frequently (domestic and international) and work flexible schedules, including overtime or on-call support.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with standard office applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience providing customer-facing technical support in a field environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work in cleanroom environments requiring specialized protective equipment.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods.
