Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the needs of visually impaired students
Utilize specialized instructional strategies and assistive technology to enhance student learning
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure cohesive support services
Conduct assessments and monitor student progress to adjust teaching methods effectively
Provide training and resources to school staff to foster an inclusive educational environment
Desired Qualifications:
Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Experience working with students who have visual impairments
Knowledge of braille, orientation and mobility techniques, and assistive technologies
Strong communication and collaboration skills
