
Calibration Technician (Plano)

Job Summary:
The company is seeking a detail-oriented Calibration Technician to support manufacturing and research operations through the calibration, maintenance, and verification of testing and measurement equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment accuracy, regulatory compliance, and proper documentation to maintain product quality standards in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform calibration of testing, measuring, and monitoring equipment, tools, gauges, fixtures, and instruments according to established schedules and procedures
• Conduct routine setup, inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of equipment and related systems
• Maintain accurate calibration records, service logs, and technical documentation to support audit readiness and compliance standards
• Coordinate calibration activities with certified third-party vendors for equipment requiring external servicing
• Collect, measure, record, and organize calibration data for reporting, trending, and internal review
• Support engineering, validation, and qualification activities through technical input and documentation assistance
• Assist with procedure updates, laboratory documentation, and continuous improvement efforts within calibration operations
• Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure timely completion of assigned work and equipment readiness
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate Degree or technical coursework preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Zero to three years of calibration, instrumentation, maintenance, or technical equipment support experience
• Experience working with measurement tools, gauges, fixtures, and testing instruments
• Basic understanding of
Quality Systems ,
ISO standards , and regulated documentation practices
• Strong technical recordkeeping, data entry, and computer skills
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and interpret numerical or statistical data
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing, laboratory, or research environment
• Familiarity with engineering qualification or validation support activities
• Exposure to government-regulated quality systems and audit requirements
• Experience coordinating with external calibration or service vendors
