Senior Cost Estimator
Optomi, in partnership with a leader in Professional Services, is seeking an Senior Cost Estimator to develop and validate construction cost estimates across large-scale projects. In need of someone who can deliver accurate, real-world cost estimates based on current market conditions. The role requires individuals with strong industry experience and the ability to validate pricing through hands-on knowledge and professional networks. The position is primarily on-site, with occasional site visits to assess real conditions.
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
Develop and validate construction cost estimates across large-scale projects
Analyze costs for: Materials (e.g., concrete, steel), Labor, and Equipment
Provide real-time cost insights based on: Market conditions and Regional pricing trends
Leverage industry relationships to: Validate pricing assumptions, Source vendor and subcontractor input, and Support budgeting and planning across multiple project components
Qualifications of the Right Candidate:
5+ years of construction estimating experience
Experience on large-scale construction projects ($300M+)
Ability to validate pricing through hands-on knowledge and professional networks.
Strong understanding of: Material costs, Labor markets, Regional pricing dynamics
Recent, hands-on project experience (currently active or recently rolled off projects)
Familiarity with cost estimation tools and systems
