JOB DESCRIPTION:
Insight Global is looking to add a
Data/BI Engineer
to their client’s Data & Analytics organization. This role will support a high demand analytics and reporting environment focused on new feature enhancements and a growing volume of end user requests. They will work primarily on the data and BI reporting side, contributing to both the underlying data layer and business intelligence outputs. They will support AB Analytics, a core reporting platform used by wholesalers and Commercial Directors to evaluate performance across various programs. This individual will own reporting end to end, beginning with upstream data transformations, aggregations, and filtering, through final report delivery and ongoing enhancements. They will work with existing BI models and semantic layers, fixing data and reporting bugs, and developing new reports and features in response to evolving business needs. They will partner closely with business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable, reliable analytics solutions while ensuring accuracy, performance, and usability across all outputs.
This will be a long-term extending contract.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
3+ years of Data Engineering experience
Proficient in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries
Experience with Databricks
Exposure to Power BI
Any other visualization tool experience/exposure
Python experience
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Pyspark
Experience with Airflow for pipeline and orchestration
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience with AWS
Knowledge of downstream data visualization
Experience with streaming technologies like Kafka and other messaging services
