About the Role
A venture-backed space computing startup is hiring a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to work on flight-critical avionics systems for orbital platforms. You'll own hardware bring-up end-to-end and work across a lean, highly technical team at a genuinely early and consequential stage of the company.
Required Skills & Experience
Embedded C/C++
Bootloaders, BSPs, HALs, and hardware-facing device drivers
Embedded Linux
Bare-metal and RTOS firmware
Board bring-up
ARM based microcontroller architectures
Peripheral drivers and communication protocols (CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, RS485, SpaceWire, CCSDS etc.)
Hardware test & prototyping
Beneficial Skills & Experience
Experience with Nvidia Jetson platforms
Flight software architecture and FDIR concepts
Radiation-tolerant or space-grade MCUs
CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems
