About the role ---
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead international supplier development and manage core components for optical communication products. This role is responsible for driving procurement strategy, optimizing costs, and managing supply chain risks while ensuring efficient collaboration with global suppliers and smooth end-to-end order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities ---
Supplier Development & Relationship Management
Lead end-to-end engagement with overseas suppliers, including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and contract execution
Build and maintain long-term strategic supplier partnerships
Conduct regular performance reviews and develop alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate risk
Procurement Strategy & Cost Control
Develop and execute annual procurement plans for optical components
Achieve cost-saving targets through competitive bidding, volume consolidation, and strategic sourcing
Monitor global market trends and adjust procurement strategies accordingly
Order Fulfillment & Quality Assurance
Oversee the full procurement cycle from RFQ to delivery, ensuring on-time performance
Partner with quality teams to verify materials and resolve any issues
Process Optimization & Team Leadership
Improve cross-border procurement processes to reduce lead times and increase efficiency
Mentor and guide team members to meet performance goals
Communication & Collaboration
Work closely with international teams
Fluency in English required; Mandarin Chinese proficiency preferred due to business needs
Qualifications ---
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Experience in telecommunications, optical transceivers, or a related industry preferred
Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills
