Role Summary:
We are seeking an
Audiovisual Archivist / Technician
to support Wells Fargo Corporate Archives. The role involves
surveying, organizing, digitizing, and preserving audiovisual materials
(both analog and digital formats). This position requires hands-on work with physical media and developing strategies for long-term preservation.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory and organize
audiovisual collections
(VHS, Betacam, cassettes, reel-to-reel, etc.)
Convert
analog media to digital formats
Develop and implement
digitization and preservation strategies
Identify materials at risk and recommend
preservation solutions
Maintain and standardize
metadata and records
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors
Document workflows and improve
archival processes
Physically handle and reorganize archived materials
Required Skills:
Experience with
analog audiovisual formats
(VHS, Betacam, audiocassette, reel-to-reel)
Experience in
digitization of audiovisual materials
Knowledge of
archival and preservation best practices
Strong
project management and time management skills
High
attention to detail and adaptability
Proficiency in
MS Office tools
Preferred Skills:
Experience in
archives, library science, or digitization industry
Familiarity with
Digital Asset Management tools (e.g., Primo)
MLS/MLIS degree
or equivalent
Education:
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Info:
100% onsite role (handling physical materials)
No overtime or travel required
Must be comfortable with
physical tasks (lifting, moving materials)
Pay Range:
$35 - $37
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
