Overview:
A large, well-established NYC nonprofit is hiring an Accountant to support their finance team across grants and budgeting. This is a highly program-facing role working closely with internal teams and external funders to manage government-funded programs and ensure budgets and spending are aligned.
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of grants or program budgets
Partner with program teams to align spending with budget needs
Work with NYC agencies and funders on invoicing and budget-related items
Support budgeting, forecasting, and grant tracking
Participate in internal and external meetings tied to funding and program support
Requirements:
1+ years of experience within a NYC social services or nonprofit organization
Experience working with NYC agencies (DHS, DOHMH, HRA, etc.)
Experience with grant invoicing and/or budgeting
Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
