What you'll own
Build and integrate AI-powered systems into enterprise stacks across email, ERPs, CRMs, and cloud infra
Fine-tune, evaluate, and run open-source models against real customer workloads
Design training, inference, and data processing pipelines from scratch
Squeeze latency, throughput, and cost efficiency in live production environments
Build evaluation frameworks, feedback loops, and observability tooling that actually tells you something
Requirements
Strong Python, production-grade code
ML experience beyond notebooks, in real deployed systems
Cloud infra on AWS or GCP, pipelines, APIs
BS or MS in CS, Engineering, or equivalent
Startup-native background, not big-tech-native
Has shipped something end-to-end before
Nice to have
LLMs and agents, frontier AI lab background, distributed systems, high-growth startup experience, prior founding experience, MIT / Stanford / Berkeley / CMU, workflow automation, SF Bay Area based
Culture and bar
The culture is beyond 996. The founder lives above the office. Candidates who haven't worked out here either weren't ready for the intensity or realized mid-process they wanted to start their own company. Both are signals of the bar being set.
You should be obsessed with the frontier, able to code alone for hours, then flip to product and strategy without skipping a beat. The hunger of someone who could have been a founder.
