As an Outerwear & Bottoms Designer, you will support the head designer and design team in bringing seasonal collections to life. This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented creative who is eager to learn the technical intricacies of outerwear and the foundations of great-fitting bottoms. You’ll be responsible for executing design updates, maintaining technical assets, and assisting in the development process from sketch to sample.

Responsibilities
Design Support:
Assist senior designers in sketching new silhouettes and creating colorways for jackets, bottoms and swim.
Tech Pack Creation:
Build and maintain accurate technical packages in excel and Illustrator, including detailed diagrams, BOMs, and trim placements.
Research:
Conduct market research on emerging trends, competitor pricing, and innovative hardware or fabric finishes.
Fit Assistance:
Attend fit sessions to take notes, update technical sketches based on feedback, and help track changes across sizes.
Trim & Fabric Sourcing:
Maintain the design reference files to track product development.
Communication:
Work with vendors/ suppliers to request lab dips, sample yardage, strike-offs, protos, sales samples.
Pack & Ship:
Help prepare samples and labels for shipping to various accounts.
Qualifications
Education:
Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
Required Skills
Software & Technical Skills:
Adobe Creative Suite: Expert-level Adobe Illustrator for creating precise flat sketches and tech packs. Proficiency in Photoshop for creating mood boards, prints, and color renderings.
Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Excel for managing Bill of Materials (BOMs) Outlook/Teams for vendor communication.
Preferred Skills
Experience:
3-7 years of experience in apparel design.
Eye for Detail:
A strong understanding of garment construction basics, such as pocket types, zipper applications, and seam finishes.
Motivation:
A no task is too small attitude and willingness to learn.
Bonus Points:
Basic knowledge of 3D design software like CLO 3D or Browzwear.
