Shift Details:
3rd Shift (Night Shift)
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
Total Weekly Hours: 84 hours
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic III is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing and packaging equipment across Aerosol and Hair Care production lines. This role ensures maximum equipment efficiency, minimizes downtime, and supports production quality through advanced troubleshooting and preventive maintenance. The position requires strong expertise in electro-mechanical systems and a proactive approach to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain packaging and support equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality
Perform line changeovers, setups, and equipment adjustments based on production schedules
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using root cause analysis techniques
Execute preventive maintenance (PM) programs and address issues identified during inspections
Analyze CMMS and MES data to identify recurring equipment issues and implement solutions
Support production teams in resolving process-related equipment problems
Assist with equipment installations and modifications in collaboration with Engineering
Repair or fabricate machine parts as needed
Operate forklifts to move equipment and materials when required
Train and support team members on basic maintenance and equipment adjustments
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate degree in Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or Engineering Science preferred
Experience:
Minimum
7+ years of mechanical maintenance experience , preferably in a manufacturing environment
Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of:
Electro-mechanical systems
Electric motors (AC/DC), starters, contactors, and three-phase power
PLC systems
Pneumatics and hydraulics
Conveyor systems
Bearings, shafts, and gearboxes
Liquid filling and production machinery
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with machine shop operations and welding preferred
Preferred Training & Certifications:
Completion of a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship
Military technical training (preferred)
Forklift operation experience
