Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Assist with month-end and year-end close related to cost accounting
Prepare detailed financial and operational reports for management
Support budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor variances
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Analyze and monitor production, labor, material, and overhead costs
Analyze purchase price variances (PPV) and investigate root causes
Prepare and maintain standard costs and conduct variance analysis
Identify cost trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for savings
Support internal and external audits as needed
Support development and tracking
Qualifications
BS/BA degree in accounting
2+ years of experience of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
Ability to analyze and explain balance sheet and income statement activity
