Digitalization Focal Point Lead (Charlotte)

Seeking an experienced Digitalization Focal Point to support a manufacturing site in NC. In this role, you will coordinate and drive local digitalization initiatives while acting as the primary liaison between the site and global headquarters.
Looking for candidates with strong backgrounds in shopfloor oriented digital solutions and a solid understanding of manufacturing IT environments. You will play a key role in translating business needs into digital solutions, ensuring alignment with global standards, and supporting the rollout of new technologies across the site.

Job Description:
• Act as the onsite digitalization lead coordinating all ongoing and future digital initiatives.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the headquarters digitalization team, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
• Oversee and support shopfloor centric digital projects, including connectivity, machine/asset integration, data collection, monitoring, and basic automation.
• Facilitate the introduction and adoption of digital tools across production and operations.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and IT stakeholders to identify digital opportunities and remove implementation barriers.
• Ensure compliance with corporate digital standards, security requirements, and IT governance.
• Support roadmap planning and provide structured reporting of project progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors as needed.

Required Qualifications
• Proven experience supporting digitalization or Industry 4.0 efforts in a manufacturing or industrial environment in the US.
• Strong understanding of shopfloor technologies such as machine connectivity, sensor integration, real time data monitoring, and related systems.
• Working knowledge of typical manufacturing IT landscapes
• Experience collaborating with cross functional teams and remote/global teams.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Must be authorized to work as an independent contractor in the United States.
