The HVAC & Plumbing Service Manager is responsible for overseeing daily service operations for residential and commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing systems. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, efficient scheduling, team leadership, and customer satisfaction while maintaining profitability and safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Manage and oversee all service operations for HVAC, air conditioning, and plumbing systems
* Supervise, train, and mentor service technicians and support staff
* Coordinate scheduling and dispatching to maximize efficiency and response times
* Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards
* Monitor job performance, productivity, and service quality
* Handle escalated customer concerns and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
* Develop and implement service processes and best practices
* Collaborate with sales and installation teams to support business growth
* Track and manage service KPIs, budgets, and profitability
* Maintain inventory control and ensure proper use of tools and equipment
* Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching
* Ensure proper documentation of service calls, invoices, and reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 5+ years of experience in HVAC and/or plumbing service operations
* 2+ years in a leadership or management role preferred
* Strong knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC and plumbing systems
* Familiarity with service management software and dispatch systems
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Valid driver's license (required

PREFERRED SKILLS:

* EPA certification or relevant trade licenses
* Experience with budgeting and financial reporting
* Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills
* Ability to analyze performance metrics and improve operational efficiency

WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Combination of office and field environment
* May require occasional on-call or after-hours support
* Regular interaction with customers, technicians, and vendors
