Medical Technologist

Liberty Township, OH 45069.
This is a 13-week contract opportunity to work as a Generalist with
laboratory team.
Job Summary
The
Medical Technologist
will perform a variety of specialized, routine, and non-routine tests, procedures, and examinations in various areas such as chemistry, hematology, microbiology, molecular, urinalysis, and immunohematology to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
Responsibilities:
Perform waived, moderately complex, and highly complex testing as per CLIA guidelines.
Conduct chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic laboratory tests.
Utilize various technologies for routine and complex instrumentation.
Perform quality control procedures, calibrate and maintain equipment, and troubleshoot instruments.
Prepare reagents, standards, and controls.
Review and validate test results and report them accurately.
Assist in instructing and training junior laboratory staff on procedures and testing.
Monitor laboratory processes and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Handle biological, radioactive, and hazardous waste according to regulations.
Discuss test results with the Pathologist, laboratory staff, and other clinical team members.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Associate’s Degree
in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology, or
Bachelor’s degree
in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field (chemical, physical, or biological sciences).
Certifications & Licensure (ASCP) ,
MT (ASCP) , or
MLS (ASCP)
certification required.
Experience:
Minimum
1 year
of experience in laboratory settings preferred.
Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of laboratory operations and equipment.
Familiarity with various laboratory departments, functions, and processes.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with laboratory instruments and processes.
Excellent attention to detail and precision.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, EMR, and scheduling systems.
Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and other relevant regulations.

36 hours per week (3X12 shifts)

Local Pay range:
$40-$46/hour
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
Travel Gross Pay:
$2000 - $2046/Week
