Job Details: The Patient Services Representative (PSR II) represent the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
PSR II draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
The PSR II have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner.
The PSR II will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.
Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.

Job Responsibilities: Perform safe, accurate venipuncture and capillary blood draws, including pediatric and geriatric collections
Conduct clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures
Prepare, label, verify, and process specimens for laboratory testing
Verify patient demographics, initials, and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling
Clearly explain procedures to patients to ensure comfort, trust, and confidence
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards
Perform daily duties accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and confidentiality of patient information

Job Requirements: Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
Demonstrated professional judgment and decision-making
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable)

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience: 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
2+ years of Previous experience in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
Customer service in a preferred retail or service environment.
Keyboard/data entry experience
