Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to support and evolve the shared digital platform used by the GIS Digital team. This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, security hardening, and multi‑team operational enablement. You will work across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and AWS workloads, supporting containerized applications, event‑driven systems, and enterprise identity‑integrated platforms while helping unify DevOps practices across historically separate teams.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and improve cloud-native platforms spanning:
GCP (GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Clod SQL, FireStore)
AWS (EC2, ECS, RDS) workloads
Maintain and upgrade Kubernetes (GKE) clusters, including version alignment, node configuration, backup/restore processes, and environment parity across sandbox, dev, test, stage, and prod.
Maintain and upgrade multi‑cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code.
Maintain pipelines to deploy Kotlin / Java (Gradle), Node.js, and Ruby-based containers
Support the development team with platform and app assistance.
Design, maintain, and standardize CI/CD pipelines used by both Tampa and Toledo teams using:
Azure DevOps and GitHub Action pipelines

Pipeline reliability and scripting fixes
Security scanning on cloud infrastructure and containers
Support containerized build pipelines (Docker), including troubleshooting JDK, Gradle, and dependency issues.
Contribute to enterprise security hardening efforts, including:
Vulnerability reduction initiatives
IAM and PAM/TEAM integrations
Secure pipeline practices
Partner with application teams to remediate security findings across cloud workloads and pipelines while minimizing delivery friction.
Act as a senior technical contributor, helping:
Align DevOps practices across Tampa and Toledo
Mentor engineers and help raise the DevOps maturity of product teams without acting as a “gatekeeper.”
