Senior Accountant (Boulder)

Our Renewable Energy Services client is seeking a Senior Accountant for their operational accounting team. The position is a mix of hands-on accounting (revenue, leases, debt, partnerships) and working on high-impact projects like asset transactions and process improvements. It’s a great fit for someone who likes variety and ownership. Must be located in or around the general Denver Metro area.
Responsibilities
Ensure asset purchases are accounted for in accordance with GAAP
Support construction-in-progress accounting for all IPP assets
Assist
in ensuring timely billing of energy generation and PPA (Power Production Agreement) revenue
Work with partnership expense accruals: ensure all LLC accruals are recorded per the partnership agreement and GAAP
Support operating solar assets accounting per GAAP. (i.e. maintain and record period depreciation schedules)
Support execution of ARO accounting accurately
Record monthly journal entries and reconciliations for new and existing finance and operating leases in accordance with ASC 842. Execute monthly lease accounting per GAAP.
Support the intercompany accounting related to IPP transactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's in accounting
5 years of high-level complex accounting.
Big 4 or large regional accounting firm with financial services, O&G or REIT client experience.
CPA or CPA eligible
Strong technical accounting proficiency
Compensation : $110K - $130K per year
Benefits : full M/D/V, RTD pass, FSA/HSA plans, 401K with match.
