Tax Director / Senior Tax Manager (Onsite)

Compensation:
$180,000 – $250,000 base (depending on level & experience)
Overview:
A growing public accounting firm is seeking a
Tax Director or Senior Tax Manager
to join their team onsite in Gaithersburg, MD. This role is ideal for a
well-rounded tax professional
with a generalist background across multiple entity types and industries, looking to step into a high-impact leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and review complex tax engagements (individual, corporate, partnership)
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and provide strategic tax guidance
Lead, mentor, and develop tax staff and managers
Identify tax planning opportunities across a diverse client base
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations

Qualifications:
CPA preferred (or actively pursuing)
Strong public accounting experience with a
generalist tax background
Experience handling a variety of clients (HNW, corporate, partnerships, etc.)
Proven leadership experience at the Senior Manager or Director level
Strong client-facing and communication skills
